We are looking for two to three new jury members from all over Switzerland to incorporate perspectives from the community. Would you like to share your experience and expertise?

About “ici. here together.”

Migros Commitment’s support programme “ici. here together.” provides funding and professional advice to local and regional integration projects. These projects bring people with diverse cultural and linguistic experiences together, enabling them to actively participate in everyday life in Switzerland. “ici. here together.” is supported by the Foundation for Language and Education Promotion (SSUB) and Migros Commitment.
The programme is also supported by partner organisations such as the Swiss Conference of Integration Offices (KoFI), the Federal Commission for Migration (EKM), and the Conference of Cantonal, Communal, and Regional Integration Delegates (KID). Representatives from these organisations are part of the “ici. here together.” jury and have so far contributed to selecting projects for funding cycles I and II, as well as “Mini-Grants.”

We are now looking for 2 to 3 new jury members to expand the current jury. This will ensure that new voices and perspectives from our target groups are included in the funding decisions. The jury must represent all language regions in Switzerland.

Your role on the jury

As a jury member, you will help ensure that funding is distributed effectively and fairly. Together with other jury members, you will review funding applications from non-profit organisations and provide your expertise and insights. You will contribute to decision-making for current calls for proposals (Mini-Grants) and future planned funding opportunities. Jury members must respect confidentiality and recuse themselves from decisions where they have connections to the applying organisation.

  • The time commitment is approximately 2 to 4 hours per month, with some variation throughout the year.
  • Your role begins in February 2025, and the term for jury members is limited to three years.
  • The jury’s main session will take place on April 23, 24, or 29, 2025 (full-day commitment)

What we are looking for

  • Professional expertise in areas such as integration, migration, anti-discrimination, participation, support for volunteers, or project management in non-profit organisations
  • Personal experience in these areas, such as migration or displacement, experiences of discrimination, or similar thematic insights
  • Interest in close collaboration with the specialist partner organisations of “ici. here together.”
  • Language skills in German or French, with the ability to express yourself fluently in one and understand the other
  • Openness to working as part of a team

What we offer

  • The opportunity to contribute to an innovative and exemplary funding programme
  • Fair financial compensation for your involvement
  • Access to a national network of organisations and professionals
